Giving Our Spiritual Gifts to God is Fun

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  Not only did God give us his Son, but He freely gave us grace and truth through the Son.  John 1:17 tells us this, “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”  God did not stop giving to us there.  Romans 12:6-8 tells us, “We have different gifts according to the grace given us.  If someone’s gift is prophecy, let him use it in proportion to his faith; if it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is giving, let him give generously; if it is leading, let him lead with diligence; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.”

God has given us many gifts. As Romans says, we are to use our gifts according to the grace given us.  If you have not figured out what your spiritual gifts are yet, take a short test.  You might be surprised about something God has given you.  Here is one website that can help you.

Once you have found out your spiritual gifts, remember that each one is a GIFT from God.  He enjoyed and, I am sure, had fun giving them to you.  He planned these gifts for you before you were born.  If you do not use them for God’s good, you miss out on great joy. Use them wisely and most importantly have fun using them as that is what God meant for us to do with them!
