Nicaragua is the poorest country in Central America, with almost 80% of its population living with less than $2 per day. To help meet countless needs we have joined forces with Hope Project, who takes several short term mission trips to Nicaragua each year. We partner with a child development center in Managua and a church in a barrio called Cristo Rey. On these trips we build homes for families in Cristo Rey, deliver much needed supplies to New Life and Casa Del Rey, and participate in the programs that we support. Since October 2013, Hope Project has built 45 homes, delivered over 2,600 pounds of supplies, and provided funds for more than 56,000 meals for children. The life transformation through these efforts has been nothing short of amazing.
New Life Nicaragua is a child development center. They serve abused, abandoned, and malnourished children by addressing their nutritional and health needs within various barrios of Managua, Nicaragua.
Casa Del Rey is a church in Cristo Rey, Nicaragua. They provide an educational program for over 150 children in their community that teaches the word of God, provides opportunities to learn life skills, and provides weekly meals. Casa Del Rey has a sister church in Ciudadela, Nicaragua. They provide an educational program for 80 children in their community that teaches the word of God, provides opportunities to learn life skills, and provides weekly meals.
