DIRECTOR OF SMALL GROUPS
Lifepoint Church is hiring a Director of Groups to direct our Small Groups ministries and serve as a spiritual shepherd to our Dream Team leaders.
The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable. Demonstrating a strong capacity for collaboration, critical thinking, conflict resolution, and exercising good judgment in a variety of situations is a must. They are responsible for executing the vision from our Senior Pastors for community within the model of small groups.
Leading teams in setting strategy and accomplishing goals, holding regular meetings with their respective staff and volunteers, ensuring smoothly running operations and immediate issue resolution will be necessary.

Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and 3 years in managerial or leadership positions within a comparable environment. Specifically, the ideal candidate has work experience proving their ability to recruit and build groups and/or teams. High-level networking and relational strengths are required. Possession of a degree in a related field is a plus and may be substituted for relevant work experience. This position also requires the candidate to either possess or be willing to pursue a minimum of a Biblical Studies Certificate. The successful individual must have a proven track record of effective leadership, judgment, and above reproach character.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute excellent written and verbal communication with an emphasis on Dream Team and staff interaction.
- Spiritually advise and shepherd Dream Team leaders who coach Small Group Leaders faced with difficult relationship situations in groups and intervene as necessary.
- Lead recruitment and training of new Group Leaders to continually expand capacity for attendees to connect in community to Small Groups.
- Equip and resource the layers of leadership within Small Groups.
- Champion and model leading people to their personal next step with God.
- Schedule and facilitate regular meetings with assigned Small Groups leadership in order to refresh vision, to ensure open lines of communication, and to oversee training, scheduling and shepherding of all campus Groups.
- Communicate feedback and innovative ideas to Central Groups frequently.
- Conduct performance assessments and recommend promotion and disciplinary actions for their teams as necessary.
- Champion the establishment of ongoing spiritual and professional development for the staff and Dream Team under their care.
- Serve as the thought-leader of the organization within their scope of responsibility, providing recommendations for policies, procedures, and innovative changes to their team’s various structures that will enhance operational and financial effectiveness.
- Enforce the policies and procedures of the organization within Small Groups.
